My culinary ambitions started in North Carolina, but it's throughout Breckenridge, Colorado where I've truly found my place for over 3 years now. I've worn the chef hat in various kitchens around the country for over ten years, and I love the thrilling, sometimes chaotic life the industry can bring!
Leaving the Carolinas, my curiosity with food soon led me to Seattle's culinary scene. I was fortunate to hone my craft in some incredible restaurants, all known for creatively delicious food in vibrant, intimate settings.
One memorable chef experience was at Marmite, a top 50 Bon Appétit magazine French restaurant in Seattle's Capitol Hill district. It was there, under Chef Bruce Naftaly, that I not only advanced my skills in French cuisine, but really came to understand the importance of fellowship. Chef Bruce was a man who exuded passion for people, and I like to think he left the biggest impression on me throughout my culinary career.
Professional cooking has taken me from Alaska all the way to Maine, but it was a farm-to-table bison ranch in southern Utah that profoundly shaped how I cook today. Cooking there, cultivated an array of local farm-fresh ingredients. We picked apples from our orchards, collected Hubbard squash from the root cellar, planted herbs in our green house, and found time to hang with baby bison Leo.
These experiences may seem trivial, but it's the little moments from here and there that have defined my chef identity in Breckenridge, Colorado. Now, I'm thrilled to bring the culmination of my cooking to you right here in the Rockies as your private chef.
